Telaldalin

Mourn ye the loss, citizens of Earth, for one has passed out of your company that the like of shall never be seen again.
Today is a sad day. Today they buried the first of my friends. At 20 years old, she was far too young to have to go. The only solace is to know that she is in a better place, no longer hurting. Still, it is painful to attend the funeral of one who should have lived sixty more years. I am struck by the profound irony that the better a person is, the more we love them, the more we say they deserve their place in the Kingdom of Heaven; the less we want them to get there. And it is obvious that Cheryl was well loved. A huge crowd turned out to pay their respects to one fallen so young.
And yet, we cannot be overcome with grief. The best way to truly respect one so full of life is to live. Live life and enjoy life. Dance your favorite dances, sing your favorite songs, and whenever you see an orchid, smile and remember.

Cheryl, Last Tree Song, here's to you.

It upset me that I was not able to be there, but Cheryl was on my mind all day.

It really makes you realize how fragile life is, how much we, the living, take it for granted. It is difficult to think of Cheryl as being "gone." I hate that word. It's so hard to wrap your mind around the concept that it can be draining just to think about it.

I'm still trying to figure out if Cheryl's passing makes life more arbitrary or not.

Hi Gimp. I live out of town and was unable to attend Cheryl's funeral. I have followed her blog from day 1, and am so saddened by her untimely departure on earth. Would you mind sharing on your blog details of her memorial, or should I say her celebration of life? I know I, and others who weren't able to attend, would like to know how our beloved Cheryl was sent off.

Hola, I haven't been blogging for a while and it's nice to see someone updates their blog.

I always remember Cheryl with a smile, this last weekend I did see some orchids and she's who I thought of right away.

"The love and the laughter will live on long after all of the sadness and the tears. We'll meet again, my old friend"
